Gosper County commissioners approve routine reports, renew insurance and grant July 11 liquor license

The Gosper County Board of Commissioners handled a series of routine items and approvals at its June 10, 2026 meeting in Elwood.
The board read and approved the minutes of its May 27 meeting on a motion by Commissioner Glenn Hofman, seconded by Chairperson Terry Lerdall. Commissioners also approved the Clerk of District Court report for May after a motion by Bruce Bader and a second by Glenn Hofman.
At 10:00 a.m. the board convened as the Board of Equalization; Assessor Pam Bogle attended and the judiciary notice was read. After reviewing personal property schedules the board recessed the Board of Equalization until June 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
Highway Superintendent Kelly Lehmann delivered a road report; the minutes record the presentation but no formal action on the highway report. The board approved the renewal billing statement from NIRMA/NIRMA II for the policy period July 1, 2026through July 1, 2027 on a motion by Commissioner Glenn Hofman, seconded by Bruce Bader.
The board approved a Special Designated Liquor License for Crazy Marvs RV & Cabin Retreat, LLC for an event scheduled July 11, 2026; the motion was made by Bruce Bader and seconded by Glenn Hofman.
County Attorney Beverly B. Louthan presented a Drivers Safety Training Program Application for S.T.O.P. class certification and provided a signed copy to the board for review; the minutes do not record a board decision on that application at the meeting. The board reviewed correspondence from the Village of Elwood and Region II Services and adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
