Summary

The Weatherford City Council on June 9 approved Amendment No. 1 to the contract with Half Associates for the Front Street drainage improvements, adding $18,600 and bringing the contract total to $250,100.
Project presenter Matt Leppler told the council the work—which includes 400 linear feet of 10-foot-by-5-foot concrete box culvert at North Elm and Front Street—was designed to handle a 100-year storm and protect roughly 140 acres of upstream drainage area. He said the majority of construction is complete but the Texas Historical Commission requested concurrent field survey work; the amendment covers that effort and is not expected to affect the overall schedule.
"This amendment number 1 is for $18,600 bringing the contract amount to $250,100," Leppler said, noting the THC permit was issued and the project remains on schedule with anticipated completion by August.
Council accepted the amendment after brief consideration; a motion for approval was made and seconded and the item passed. The transcript does not include a roll-call vote tally.
