The Bowling Green Zoning Board of Appeals confirmed its existing slate of officers by unanimous roll-call vote after a member nominated the current slate and another seconded the nomination.
During the meeting planning staff said council-approved amendments to the zoning code are pending enactment and that staff looks forward to implementing those changes. A board member thanked staff and city council for excluding accessory buildings (sheds) from the recent amendment.
Resident Rose Drain (228 East Court Street) asked about proposed housing at Kogan's Crossing and whether driveway width problems could be addressed during the development-review process. Planning staff replied that such changes are legislative matters for the planning commission and city council and noted the prior zoning code had been more permissive on front-yard parking; staff said the code was relaxed in late 2024 but that driveway requirements apply citywide.
A resident raised a prior concern about removal of canopy trees on a nearby lot; a board member said only one tree would have to be removed and thanked the resident for raising the issue.
The board adjourned after completing business for the evening.
