Fire marshal reports single retail fireworks application for Walmart site; informational only

At the June 9 Pullman City Council meeting, Fire Marshal Darren Jones reported the Fire Department received a timely retail fireworks sales application from Josiah Bretop for a sales site at 1690 SE Harvest Drive (Walmart #1870). Jones said required documents were included, the supplier is American Promotional Events Inc. (doing business as TNT Fireworks), and the department had no issues with the applicant or supplier.
Jones recommended processing the permit so sales, if approved administratively, would be allowed July 1–4 in accordance with Pullman code. Council members treated item as informational under current code-making requirements; no council action was required that evening.
