Airport consultant outlines AIP updates; board to seek MT Aeronautics match for runway lighting and apron rehab

At the Dec. 3 meeting, consultant Cory Kesler (MMI) updated the Silver Bow County airport board on several Airport Improvement Program efforts and advised the board to apply to MT Aeronautics for the local match on a future AIP project.
Kesler said AIP 77, the snow removal equipment purchase, is on schedule with delivery expected in December or January. He said work on AIP 78, a security gate project, is being scheduled with the contractor. Kesler described AIP 79 as a future project that would include runway maintenance, LED lighting on runway 15 and rehabilitation of the commercial apron; he said the board will apply for a grant from MT Aeronautics to fund the required match for that work.
No formal vote was required for the project updates; the board discussed the timing and next steps and recorded the consultant’s recommendations. The board then moved on to audit and other agenda items.
