At a 9:00 a.m. canvass session, Worth County Auditor Jacki A. Backhaus told the board that 989 people voted in person on election day and 97 absentee ballots were accepted for counting, with zero provisional ballots accepted. Chairperson Enos Loberg moved, and the board approved Resolution 2026‑16 certifying the tally and nominees for county offices.
The certified county nominees for county offices included Marena Henkle (Republican) for Board of Supervisor District 1; Mike Hanson (Republican) for Board of Supervisor District 3; Jolene Hickle (Republican) for County Recorder; Jake Hanson (Republican) for County Treasurer; and Jeffrey H. Greve (Republican) and Dexter Banks (Democratic) for County Attorney. The canvass record also notes the absence of party nominees in certain county races for the Democratic ticket as recorded in the certification.
Backhaus and the board stated that no obvious clerical errors were identified during the canvass, and the board moved to acknowledge the Post‑election Audit Report/Auditor Certification for the 2026 Worth County Primary Election later in the meeting.
The board approved the certification by recorded motion and adjourned the session at 9:36 a.m.
