City hall move and business updates: architects, BR&E visits and CDA leads

Members reviewed business-retention-and-expansion (BR&E) outreach: a BR&E visit recently occurred and another is scheduled for June 29. Josh said these visits help track local businesses’ needs and potential expansion plans.
A CDA representative provided business-development updates: a free Business Blueprint educational session was announced for June 10 (11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.), a past FastTrack Challenge winner advanced to the Minnesota Cup semifinals, and countywide business leads submitted to regional partners totaled 148 from January through May. The CDA representative also summarized county sales/leasing metrics cited from regional sources: 38 buildings sold and 17 leased countywide in the January–May period.
Josh also reported that Anytime Fitness completed an expansion into the former Heartland Credit Union building, which board members described as a positive local addition.
No formal motions or votes were tied to these updates; they were provided for situational awareness and follow-up as projects proceed.
