Burr Ridge trustees approve consent agenda, grant sign approval, deny AT&T special use and OK Arya—s Kitchen license

The board then voted to grant a conditional sign approval for a subdivision entryway sign at the intersection of 79th Street and Woodside Lane; the roll-call vote recorded Trustee Skiappa (yes), Trustee Paveza (yes), Trustee Smith (yes) and Mayor Graasso (yes); Trustee Frances was recorded as abstaining. The ordinance passed.
8C: AT&T wireless special-use — denial direction: Derek Mcgru, a contractor for AT&T Wireless, spoke in favor of an interior-antenna installation and disputed some plan commission findings. After public comment and trustee questions, the board voted to direct staff to prepare an ordinance denying the special use for a wireless facility at Village Center Drive (case Z07206501). Roll call recorded Trustee Smith (yes), Trustee Francis (yes), Trustee Skiappa (yes) and Trustee Paveza (yes); the motion passed, and staff will draft the formal denial ordinance for a future meeting.
6A: Liquor-code amendment and Arya—s Kitchen: The board approved an ordinance amending section 25.09 of the Burr Ridge Municipal Code to allow transfer of a Class H (restaurant) liquor license that had been surrendered by Walk and Fire; staff reported Arya—s Kitchen has applied for the license and the application was in order. The motion passed on roll call.
What it means: Several ordinary items moved as a group under the consent agenda, while a handful of stand-alone matters (a sign approval, the AT&T special-use direction and a liquor-license action) drew separate motions, recusal and public comment. Staff will prepare ordinances reflecting the board—s formal votes for a future meeting where required.
