Barroso recommended using straw waddles for erosion control and said minimal groundwork is required.
Applicant Edward Cooper told the commission he will seed the disturbed area after work and said he will "control the rate of water from the pool when drained." The commission asked about drainage management during pool dewatering and confirmed the agent will coordinate site-specific measures.
Member Michael McDonnell moved to delegate the application to the Wetlands Agent to work with the applicant on drainage, seeding and erosion controls; Member Diane DeNunzio seconded. The motion carried unanimously 4:0:0.
The delegation directs Barroso to work directly with Cooper on erosion-control placement, seeding plans and any documentation needed to confirm there will be no impact to the wetlands. The commission did not report further permits or amendments at the meeting; follow-up will appear in future permit activity reports the agent will provide.
