The Sterling City Council voted on Jan. 28 to engage Government Professional Solutions to provide executive search services for the city manager recruitment.
City Manager Blankenship said the city received three proposals — Government Professional Solutions, MGT Impact Solutions LLC and KRW Associates LLC — and provided copies to council. According to the minutes, four councilmembers favored Government Professional Solutions; Councilmember Delgado asked about training so councilmembers understand the hiring process and their responsibilities. City Attorney Richardson said the selected firm would assist in narrowing candidates and handling parts of the process. Mayor Foos moved to engage Government Professional Solutions and Councilmember Wolf seconded; the motion passed by a seven-yes vote. The estimated cost range presented in the minutes was $19,500 to $25,000 depending on the chosen proposal.
