Council accepts $10,000 wayfinding grant for Bridge To Beach promenade

Council members asked whether the grant funds must be spent by Dec. 31; staff said the current grant term runs to Dec. 31 and that this was the first extension, but an additional extension would be at the discretion of the granting authority. Council directed staff to provide a November update on whether the new city branding would be ready in time to include on the signs and to consider repairing damaged existing signs if the new branding was not finalized by the deadline.
A motion to accept the $10,000 award passed on a roll-call vote with all members recorded in favor.
