The Logansport Parks and Recreation Board approved several administrative actions on routine business: declaring a 2014 Jacobson mower surplus for trade-in, authorizing a $20,000 transfer of appropriations into the pro shop account, and permitting monthly Chamber of Commerce meetings at the McCale Pavilion.
On the mower, staff explained they do not want to send the 2014 Jacobson mower to auction and prefer to trade it in toward new equipment; the board approved deeming the unit surplus. For the pro shop, staff asked to transfer $10,000 from irrigation upgrades and $10,000 from machinery and equipment into the pro shop account to cover increased business and special events related to the centennial and driving-range activities. The motion to transfer the $20,000 was moved, seconded and approved.
The board also approved a request to host regular Chamber of Commerce leadership meetings at the McCale Pavilion; dates were provided in the administrator’s packet and members had no objection. These administrative approvals were recorded on the meeting record and will be implemented by parks staff.
