Forest Grove educators urge clearer communication after spring layoffs and transfers

Elizabeth urged the board and district leadership to treat statutory requirements and the contract as a floor rather than a ceiling and to involve educators earlier in major decisions. Board members thanked her for the tone and partnership in her remarks and said they would take the feedback into account as the district continues budget and staffing planning.
