The Boone County Board of Supervisors on June 3 held the first reading of Ordinance No. 171, a rezoning request to change 28.91 acres (Parcel #088425011250081) owned by Blue Sky Properties LLC from A-1 (Agriculture Conservation) to R-1 (Rural Residential).
Mike Salati of Boone County Planning & Zoning presented the request and the board opened the public hearing at 9:02 a.m.; Salati told the board the property will be split into three large lots. No members of the public offered comments during the hearing. The board closed the hearing at 9:06 a.m.
Supervisor Scott Longhorn moved to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 171; Supervisor Shawn Bryant seconded the motion. The board recorded “all ayes” and the motion carried. The action on first reading advances the rezoning to subsequent procedure(s) required by county ordinance before final adoption.
The ordinance was introduced as a first reading; the transcript does not record a second reading date or final adoption vote. The property owner on the filing is Blue Sky Properties LLC (parcel number and acreage as stated above).
