Veteran support group VAMSA announces partnership with For All Seasons to expand services on Eastern Shore

Representatives of the Veteran and Military Support Alliance (VAMSA) told the county on June 9 that the group is pursuing a formal partnership with For All Seasons to broaden and sustain services to veterans and military families across the five‑county Eastern Shore region.
Kathy Deotis, VAMSA board chair, said the board determined For All Seasons could provide continuity, greater staff capacity, and broader services while maintaining a local presence. Founding member Walt Petri and others described VAMSA's evolution—starting with discussions of tiny homes and moving to direct service, benefits navigation and mental‑health referrals—and said the partnership will preserve successful programs (including an AI‑assisted benefits navigation tool) and enable expanded services, a new veterans community connector position, and a regional Center for Veterans and Military Families.
Beth Anne Dorman, President and CEO of For All Seasons, said the organization has offices across the Eastern Shore and will maintain VAMSA's current physical location during the transition; presenters said the merger is intended to be seamless for veterans and families and will allow the continuation and expansion of counseling, claims assistance, and peer support programs. Commissioners and staff expressed support and appreciation for the partnership.
