Public Works staff presented the proposed district assessment increase, explaining the district funds routine inspection, tree maintenance and sidewalk repair connected to tree work. Staff recommended an 8% increase to the assessment to ensure adequate funding for pest management and other maintenance.
No public testimony was offered on the item. Councilmember motions to adopt the resolution ordering improvements and confirming the assessment were moved and seconded; the resolution passed unanimously. Staff said billing and notification to affected parcels will be published and posted after adoption.
Implementation: Public Works will update assessment rolls and coordinate with Finance to apply the adjusted charge for the FY 2026–27 billing cycle.
