Staff described the plan as a data‑driven, regional roadmap that uses a safe‑systems approach to reduce fatalities and serious injuries, with a shared county goal of a 30% reduction by 2030 and elimination of fatal and serious injuries by 2040. Local project prioritization will consider a high‑injury network, proximity to schools and youth activity areas, vulnerable road users, disadvantaged community considerations and project feasibility.
Council members noted the importance of adopting the plan to remain eligible for Measure X and other grant funding; staff said initial small projects would be funded by Measure X and that adoption would support competitive grant applications.
Council adopted Resolution 2026‑64 to accept the Vision Zero Safety Action Plan for Greenfield. Staff said annual monitoring reports will track progress and that TAMC will produce regional updates.
