The Price City Planning and Zoning Commission on March 9 approved Sandstone Psychology’s request to add a group gatherings land use at 59 S 700 E in the Commercial 1 zoning district to accommodate therapy groups of approximately 10 to 12 clients.
Commissioners conditioned approval on safety and operational limits. Conditions require LED exterior lighting for ingress and egress, parking to be provided in the site’s off‑street lot or mid‑block public lots, and a building safety inspection by the Price City Building Inspector and the Price City Fire Chief within 30 days. Site landscaping must meet the Code minimum of 5%.
The approval specifically prohibits on‑site provision or dispensing of medications or medical treatments, pharmacy dispensing or patient care, cooking or food preparation and any long‑term, in‑patient or overnight occupancy. Trash must be contained in a secured dumpster to prevent wind scatter. The applicant acknowledged the conditions and agreed to comply; the minutes identify the applicant as Audrey Nixon.
Commissioner Kyle Heffernan moved to approve the addition of the group gatherings land use; Commissioner Renee Swinburne seconded and the motion carried, per the minutes. The approval limits the permitted activities to those described in the application and requires compliance with the Price City Property Maintenance Code before operation.
