The Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission voted June 9 to approve the preliminary plat for Sky Point Sub Landing Phase 1, a proposed 20‑lot subdivision off Kathleen Road. Isaac Hamrick, representing Mark Morris Construction, said the project will include a traffic control measure along the main road; he and staff said specifics will be worked out and recorded on the final plat during the review process.
City planning staff reported the proposal met subdivision‑code requirements and recommended approval. Commissioner Monroe asked when the traffic control details would be entered; staff responded they would appear on the final plat submitted during the review. The commission moved, seconded and approved the preliminary plat.
