Staff said the reclassifications were informed by a matrix study and vacancy management: "we had some upper level salary retirements, and we kinda took it this is an opportunity to look at how we can improve some efficiency and hopefully free up some money," staff said. Staff also noted further recommendations related to the building department study may come later and could require budget amendments.
