Upper Milford approves minutes, payments and a community event; board acknowledges pension MMOs
Summary
At its Sept. 1 meeting the board approved the Aug. 18 minutes, authorized payment of listed General Fund and Highway Aid Fund bills, acknowledged transfers and pension MMO memos, appointed a Planning Commission member and approved use of the municipal building for a community "Light the Night" event contingent on insurance and fire police availability.

Minutes and financial approvals: Supervisor Joyce K. Moore moved to approve the Aug. 18, 2022 regular meeting minutes; Supervisor John D. Zgura seconded and the motion carried "all were in favor." The board also authorized payment of General Fund checks No. 21510–21540 in the amount of $43,516.70 and Highway Aid Fund check No. 2643 in the amount of $16,672.11, and acknowledged bank transfers Nos. 2022-046 through 2022-056; Supervisor Moore moved to pay the bills and acknowledge the transfers, Supervisor Zgura seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Pension MMOs: The board acknowledged delivery of the 2023 Minimum Municipal Obligation memos for both the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans (records note acknowledgment; no separate vote beyond acknowledgment is recorded).
Community event: The board approved use of the township building on Oct. 23, 2022 from 4–6 p.m. for the "Light the Night" Safe Zone block party, contingent on receipt of the event insurance certificate and with an invitation to Special Fire Police from Stations #19 and #28 if they are available. The motion to approve was made by Supervisor Moore, seconded by Supervisor Zgura, and the minutes record the motion carried.
