Trustee Paschmann said the amended and restated agreement incorporates lieutenants after proceedings before the Illinois Labor Relations Board. Section 11.1 (as cited in the meeting) establishes lieutenant salary steps as percentages above the top step for firefighter/paramedics: newly promoted lieutenants receive 5% above the top step, after one year the differential is 6.53%, and after two years it is 8.06%, with salary adjustments tied to performance reviews. The wage increases were included in the village's 2026 budget, trustees said.
The motion to approve the resolution authorizing the amended agreement was moved and seconded in open session; a roll-call vote recorded all trustees voting aye.
