Acting Drainage Administrator Wegleitner informed the Davison County Drainage Board that an administrative approval was processed Oct. 17, 2025, for Steven (Steve) Vlieger to clean out County Coordinated Ditch #2 in the NE 1/4 of Section 14, T104N, R62, and to remove two culverts used for a passage to access the SW portion of his property and replace them with concrete bridge decking.
The administrator stated the plan is intended to reduce blockage in the ditch if the bridge design works; if the bridge design proves unsuitable, Highway Superintendent Weinberg and the applicant will consider an alternate design. The matter was presented for information only and did not require a board vote.
Board members asked who would be financially responsible for removing culverts, installing the bridge and cleaning the ditch. Acting Administrator Wegleitner said those arrangements are between the applicant and Highway Superintendent Rusty Weinberg and that she would follow up with Weinberg to clarify responsibility.
No special conditions or formal board directives were recorded at the meeting. The board noted the administrative approval on Oct. 17 and set its next meeting for Nov. 18, 2025.
