City manager says downtown paving nearly finished; public safety facility remains on budget and on track

He added that crews will move to Main Street and that there are no underground utilities remaining on the balance of the project, which supports the schedule to finish paving by mid-July and reopen the streets.
On the city’s public safety facility, Mr. Jones said he had reviewed the financial implications and that the project "remains in budget although we're getting close." He said the project is still on track to be completed in October, with staff expected to take occupancy and an official opening likely in January.
Mr. Jones also formally recognized two employees, Alex and Tristan, for their work, saying he was "blown away by the amount of work that they generate and the quality of what they do" and calling them exceptional additions to the community.
The city manager concluded his remarks and the presiding officer thanked him and invited questions for the city manager.
