During the Sept. 24 meeting the Eagle County School District No. Re 50 board approved several resolutions to recognize staff and observances and completed required Head Start governance approvals.
Resolutions approved by voice vote included: - Resolution 202526-3: National Custodial Appreciation Day (moved and seconded; recorded yes votes by board members). - Resolution 202526-2: National School Lunch Week and Kitchen Staff Appreciation (approved; district nutrition director Chris Delorto outlined plans to celebrate staff the week after fall break). - Resolution 2025-261: National School Bus Safety (presented by transportation director Frank Viss; approved). - Resolution 202526-4: National Principals Month (approved).
Head Start items: the board approved the 2025–26 Policy Council voting member list and the Head Start bylaws after brief presentations about enrollment and program compliance. The Head Start director reported 66 of 69 Head Start slots were filled and described an upcoming Office of Head Start review of classroom videos (Oct. 20–Dec. 5) to evaluate classroom interactions and instruction.
