Council recognizes three long-serving staff members ahead of departures

At the June 10 meeting the Sebastian City Council recognized three employees who will be leaving or transitioning roles this week.
Mayor and council members thanked Cindy, the Human Resources Director, for more than 12 years of service; Jeff, the airport director, for about four and a half years and for securing grants and advancing airport projects; and Chief Dan Acosta for 27 years of service, including roughly six years as chief of police. Staff said Chief Acosta will leave his chief’s position Friday and then return in July in a human-resources/risk-manager role after a brief absence.
Council members praised their contributions and pledged to manage transitions carefully.
