Committee sets tentative summer schedule, sends several policies to first read and solicitor review
Summary

At the close of the meeting, the policy committee reviewed scheduling and other administrative items. Members confirmed August 12 as the next regular policy committee date and left July 8 as tentative; they agreed not to advertise a July meeting unless an emergency arises.
Procedurally, the committee sent Policy 140 and Policy 805 (emergency preparedness) to first reading. Policy 716 (IPM) and Policy 301 (creating positions) were tabled pending staff research and solicitor review. Administrative regulations (ARs) were corrected where technical fixes were identified: administration will remove a fixed '26' pay-period number from pay language and will correct ordering/duplicates in AR1 for salary-schedule lateral movement to align with the ACE collective bargaining structure.
Staff will circulate updated drafts and the solicitor's guidance by email where possible so the committee can finalize items for the August agenda.
