La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce reintroduces regional outreach to Onalaska council

“I am Sam. I'm CEO of the chamber,” he said, and clarified that the group represents the wider La Crosse area rather than one municipal chamber. Sam said the chamber has about 540 total members and that many local businesses are members; he named several long‑standing member businesses as examples.
Sam outlined the chamber’s three operating pillars—advocacy, collaboration and education—describing regular events that build social capital, leadership programs, and business training on topics such as human resources and workforce issues. He stressed that advocacy has grown in importance and that infrastructure and transportation are central to business success in the region.
The mayor and council thanked the presenter and did not request formal action. Sam invited councilors to engage with the chamber and offered to provide follow‑up information.
