At its June 8 meeting the City Planning Commission adopted a number of routine recommendations for the Board of Commissioners:
• COZ 2026-00007 (6420 Parallel Parkway): Approved (7–0). Owner Rick Barren sought rezoning to CP1 to accommodate tenant uses; staff recommended approval with conditions. The item will be heard by the Board of Commissioners on the announced date.
• SP2026-030 (560 Ridgeview Avenue): Approved (7–0). Brian Glosser sought a non‑owner‑occupied short‑term rental; staff recommended a one‑year approval with standard conditions.
• SP2026-033 (7521 Nebraska Avenue): Approved (7–0). Daniel Flores applied for a special‑use permit for used vehicle sales and light repair at a property that formerly operated in that use; staff recommended approval conditioned on restriping the parking area.
These items were discussed briefly and passed by roll call; staff will transmit recommendations and conditions to the Board of Commissioners for final action.
