Bolton IWC awaits soil-scientist report in Cease & Correct at 37 Notch Road; other sites monitored

The Bolton Inland Wetlands Commission received enforcement updates on Tuesday while a soil scientist's report awaited completion for a Cease & Correct order at 37 Notch Road.
Wetlands Agent Alyssa Barroso told the commission she is awaiting the soil scientist's report and will review it with property owner Alexey Ouzonov before bringing the matter back to the commission. Commissioner Diane DeNunzio abstained from discussion of the Notch Road matter because of a conflict of interest.
Barroso also reported that the property at 180 Bolton Center has sold and the new owner must not remove the existing silt fence until Barroso completes her review; she said she will perform regular inspections until the site is fully stabilized. Regarding 65 Shoddy Mill, Barroso said she finally received a response from George Logan and that a sediment plug and berm must be removed even though the slope currently shows vegetative cover; there is no timeline yet for remediation. Barroso said she will schedule a meeting with Mr. Logan to address outstanding concerns and coordinate enforcement actions related to Notch Road.
The update gave the commission a timeline for next steps: Barroso will review the soil-scientist findings with the Notch Road owner and report back at the next meeting; she will also schedule inspections and a remedial meeting on the Shoddy Mill parcel.
