Board approves consent agenda, convenes closed session on personnel matters

After presentations and reports, the board voted to convene a closed session under Virginia Code § 2.2-3711(A)(1) to discuss personnel matters, including prospective instructional candidates, summer-school stipends, substitute teachers, transfers, resignations and the dismissal of a support staff member. The motion to enter closed session was moved by Miss Burrow, seconded by Dr. Tedro, and adopted by voice vote.
The meeting then proceeded to closed session; no final personnel actions were disclosed in the public record during the work session.
