Council approves annual alcohol license renewals

City clerk Miss Hefer presented the city's annual alcohol beverage license renewals to the council on June 10, noting that licenses run from July 1 through June 30 of the following year and that renewal applications were mailed and published to notify the public.
"Licenses run from July 1st through June 30th of the following year," Miss Hefer said, adding that licenses with agent or officer changes received police background checks and that fire and building inspections had been completed. Staff recommended approval. On a motion from Mr. Zimmerman, seconded by Miss Mayweather, the council voted unanimously to approve the renewals.
The action covers licensees that met the May 14 deadline, are current on city and wholesaler accounts, and passed required inspections.
