Commission approves abandonment of two tiny, unused road segments in Glen Jean for Loving family

The Fayette County Commission approved a petition to abandon two very small, unused portions of Holland’s Hill Road and Macau Avenue in the Glen Jean subdivision after a presenter representing Lorenzo and Bridge Loving described the segments as never having been used since the subdivision was developed.
The presenter said the Lovings own lots 101, 102 and 104 adjacent to the unused segments and that the portions have essentially been meadow or forest for decades; Richard Stevens, identified in the audience as an adjoining owner, made no objection. The presenter said Vanderbilt Mortgage had been notified of the petition but did not respond.
The presenter asked the commission to approve abandonment and offered to prepare an order reflecting that decision. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the abandonment and directed counsel to prepare the necessary order for signing.
The commission’s action applies only to the described small, unused mapped segments and does not alter access to occupied structures or other roads in the subdivision, as presented.
