During its June 2 meeting the Town of Wayne Select Board handled a series of consent and routine items: approving the May 19 meeting minutes, payroll and accounts payable warrants, accepting small donations, confirming an appointment and approving event permits.
The board voted to approve payroll warrant #44 for $12,771.92 (motion carried 4-0). Accounts payable warrant #45 was also approved by vote; Shannon summarized several line items, including prepaid expenses and an audit retainer (the transcript shows the warrant amount in a format that appears to be misprinted as "277,83.79"). The board accepted a $15 donation to supplement aging-at-home appropriations and discussed Memorial Day donations; the supplemental appropriation for Memorial Day was tabled until the next meeting so staff could reconcile invoices. The board appointed David Alt to the building committee after noting he is not yet a year-round resident but intends to be; the appointment passed 4-0.
On permitting matters the board approved a state-issued catering permit for Northshore Restaurant Corporation for a Labor Day private event and granted a special amusement permit to Jellystone Park for its annual fireworks and listed indoor events.
These actions were largely uncontroversial and carried by unanimous votes. The board asked staff to correct formatting and post updated warrant and warrant-note language ahead of the town meeting.
