The proprietor later confronted department staff at the counter, Ms. Cetrulo said; the department provided a copy of current NJDOH guidelines regarding the sale of THC products.
Mr. Robe, Principal REHS, said he returned to the shop and “documented and photographed 36 different products and instructed staff to remove all immediately.” The Board requested that staff perform a spot check in the near future to verify ongoing compliance.
The action is recorded as an item in the Health Officer’s report; the board did not vote to impose a specific penalty at the public meeting but directed staff to continue inspections and report back. The Health Department will follow NJDOH guidance on permitted products and sales practices.
