Oneida County Public Safety Committee elects Michael Tautges vice chair, approves 2027 Clerk of Circuit Court staffing request

Chairperson Russ Fisher called the Oneida County Public Safety Committee to order at 9:30 a.m. on June 11, 2026, at the Oneida County Courthouse, Committee Room #2. The committee approved the meeting agenda and the April 9, 2026 meeting minutes by unanimous votes.
The committee unanimously elected Supervisor Michael Tautges as Vice Chairperson after Chairperson Fisher opened nominations. Supervisor Ted Cushing nominated Tautges and Supervisor Linnaea Newman seconded; the nomination passed 4-0.
The Clerk of Circuit Court presented its annual 2027 staffing request. The committee approved the 2027 staffing request by a 4-0 vote after a motion by Linnaea Newman and a second by Ted Cushing. Chairperson Fisher noted that the staffing request is an annual submission.
Chairperson Fisher reported that all vouchers and line item transfers for public safety departments had been received and were within budget; no formal vote was taken on those items. The committee opened the floor for public comment twice during the meeting; no public comment was given on either occasion.
The committee set its next meeting for July 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. and noted the committee does not participate via Zoom. The meeting adjourned at 9:43 a.m.
