The North Spencer County School Corporation board approved a budget timeline that schedules a public session on Aug. 10, publication of budget documents the following day, a public hearing on Sept. 14 and a target adoption date of Sept. 28.
Superintendent Schneers told the board the district's new website is expected to go live in roughly a week and a half, with a mobile app to follow and a classroom communication tool to be rolled out before the 2026'27 school year. He highlighted ongoing curriculum work and a July 30, 2026 summer summit for professional development.
Schneers also provided a progress update on the summer feeding program, reporting the district served more than 1,000 meals last week and inviting interested participants to contact Jennifer Lindsay for details.
The board approved the budget calendar and other routine items by voice vote and then moved into executive session to conclude the meeting.
