The Code Department reported working until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; the Board asked Code to remain until 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday to monitor outdoor music and open windows. New signage was installed in the LIRR North parking lot and Howitt “Municipal Parking” signs were placed. The Board requested a review of nighttime personnel as outdoor dining and open windows have changed enforcement needs.
A preliminary discussion proposed a Pride Day event for June 11, 2023; the minutes record the proposal but do not show formal approval or conditions. The trustees also noted that a Thanksgiving Eve “No Parking” on Main Street functioned well and suggested making Uber parking/pickup available on Main Street after 10:00 p.m.; that idea was discussed but not formalized in the minutes.
The Code Enforcement night differential (approved separately as a resolution) will apply to staff who work overnight shifts and is recorded among the meeting resolutions.
