Norwood board directs staff to build hardship intake system after regional strike impacts

Grady said the intake would allow the town to maintain a public record of impacts and to point people toward help or to collect evidence that assistance was insufficient.
Board members noted the intake would be part of the public record and could be used to justify county or state assistance. Trustees approved the motion by voice vote; staff will prepare the form and process and return with details about public channels for submission.
Sarah (staff) and other trustees suggested the intake should allow anonymous complaints for safety and that the system should be coordinated with county services and mental-health resources. Trustee Sean (speaker 6) emphasized a desire to be proactive and sympathetic to affected residents while the town seeks to expedite supports and keep the community informed.
