Ordinance 2026‑8, revising solid‑waste collection and disposal fees for residential and commercial premises, was adopted on second reading after a public comment by Lana Gellzer, who expressed concern about cumulative rate increases and questioned whether service levels will improve. "You're charging me more for services and now you're getting ready to charge me more," Gellzer said, noting past reductions in pickup frequency despite higher fees.
Council also adopted Ordinance 2026‑9 to revise parking hours, penalties and device‑removal fees, and Ordinance 2026‑10 to revise sewer use regulations and wastewater rates. Each ordinance passed after motions and votes recorded on the dais; no roll‑call tallies were read into the record during second readings beyond motions carrying.
Council members and staff did not expand on detailed fee schedules during the general‑business presentation; the ordinances will take effect per their codified effective dates and will be reflected in upcoming utility and billing notices.
