The Bradley County Commission on Aug. 4 approved Resolution 2025‑32 authorizing County Mayor D. Gary Davis to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cleveland State Community College Foundation to enroll current Bradley County first responders in paramedic, AEMT and EMT programs at Cleveland State for a three‑year term and at no cost to the student.
Commissioner Josh Rogers moved to approve the mayor’s resolution; Commissioner Bill Winters seconded the motion and the commission adopted it by unanimous roll-call vote (12–0). The resolution, recorded as an attachment to the minutes, lists workforce training and certification as the purpose of the partnership and specifies the three‑year term and the student‑cost arrangement.
County leaders described the measure as a local effort to meet demand for trained paramedics and emergency medical technicians by expanding access for current county first responders. The resolution takes effect upon passage and is recorded in the county’s meeting attachments.
The consent agenda also included routine personnel appointments and asset‑disposal requests (three County Clerk Windows 8 mini PCs declared scrap) and a list of notaries public to be approved; those items were approved as part of the consent agenda.
