Byron council approves payment switch to GovCard, new police account and auditor hire

Councilwoman Karma Sanders prompted the change in payment processors, saying the move would standardize how the police department receives online payments. The minutes record that the council voted to open a dedicated bank account for the police department to segregate those receipts. The council then approved contracting with Butler Accounting for upcoming audit work.
