Commissioners approve revised Road & Bridge foreman job description and allow Kiwanis to use county water truck

Crews inspected Flint Creek, Rock Creek, and other locations after heavy rain and prioritized populated areas for dust-control measures.
The commission reviewed and revised the Working Foreman job description to clarify the foreman’s role in responding to the public and internal chain-of-command; commissioners agreed the position would be posted internally in accordance with county personnel policy and approved the revised job description. Separately, commissioners approved a motion to let the Kiwanis use the county water truck for a rodeo grounds event in Drummond provided an experienced operator is used.
Discussion also touched on a potential cattle guard issue near Maxville and cost-saving ideas such as reusing existing concrete barriers to support future cattle guard installations. The commission moved and passed the job-description and water-truck motions unanimously.
