Henrico County approved a resolution June 9 to provide enhanced hazardous-duty benefits to full-time emergency medical technicians and to authorize the county to pay the employer cost for those benefits.
Director of Human Resources (Miss George) presented the board paper, describing the item as an irrevocable election to provide enhanced hazardous-duty benefits to full-time EMTs and noting county concurrence. The director recommended approval and answered supervisors' questions briefly.
Reverend Nelson moved the resolution; it was seconded and approved on a voice vote. The resolution directs the county to provide the benefits and fund the employer portion of the cost as set out in the board paper.
