The South Berwick Planning Board voted to approve its May 27 meeting minutes and set a public hearing on proposed accessory dwelling unit (ADU) ordinance changes for June 24.
Board members said the ADU hearing will comply with the 10‑day notice requirement and will be held the same evening as a separate Green Foundry item. The board recorded a unanimous vote to set the ADU public hearing and later recorded a 5–0 vote to approve the May 27 minutes.
Board leadership asked staff to ensure the June 24 notices are posted and to coordinate the two hearings so public comment can be heard before the regular meeting that evening. The board also noted a separate Landing Trail public hearing slated for 5:45 p.m. the following Tuesday to precede a town council meeting at which that project may be discussed.
No substantive ordinance changes were adopted at the meeting; the ADU amendment will return for public testimony on June 24. The board indicated that, should no substantive changes arise from public testimony, the council could subsequently vote on the matter following the hearing.
