After discussion the council voted to table the ordinance so staff can provide detailed budget numbers and confirm whether appointments or reclassifications are planned.
The ordinance remains on the docket; council members asked staff to return with a written explanation of any proposed title changes, the fiscal impact for the current budget year and the civil-service or statutory implications before the council considers reintroducing it.
