Broken Bow City Council approves consent agenda, interlocal agreement with airport authority

The Broken Bow City Council met in regular session Aug. 9, 2022, at the Broken Bow Municipal Auditorium. Council President David Schmidt called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., announced availability of the open meetings law, and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Present were Council President David Schmidt and Council members Larry Miller and David Baltz; Council member Chris Myers was absent.
During the meeting the council approved the consent agenda on a motion by Council member Larry Miller, seconded by Council member David Baltz. The consent agenda included approval of the minutes from the June 26, 2022 council meeting and payment of the bills as posted. The roll-call vote was unanimous among those present: Miller, Baltz and Schmidt voting aye; no nays were recorded. The itemized bills and payroll listed in the minutes total $497,879.28, including bi-weekly payroll of $66,453.97 and a payment of $189,442.44 to Paulsen Inc.
Also on the agenda, Miller moved and Baltz seconded approval of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Broken Bow and the Broken Bow Airport Authority for the 2022–2023 budget year. The council approved that agreement by the same unanimous roll-call vote.
Council member David Baltz moved to adjourn the meeting, a motion seconded by Council President David Schmidt. The council adjourned at 6:08 p.m. The minutes are attested by Mayor Rod Sonnichsen and City Clerk Kandi K. Peters.
