Broken Bow updates Memorial Drive delay; North 5th Street work set to start July 6

City Administrator Dan Knoell told the City of Broken Bow council on June 28 that the Memorial Drive Project is delayed because required epoxy-coated rebar and a concrete structure are taking longer to arrive than expected. "The new start date is August 1st, with the worst-case scenario being August 15th," Knoell said, adding that the estimated completion date remains Dec. 1, 2022.
Knoell also updated the council on the North 5th Street Project, saying contractor Paulsen Inc. will begin work on July 6. He described the scope as "three inches of milling and three inches of overlay." The council did not take formal action on either schedule update; the comments were presented as informational staff reports.
