Staff told trustees they issued an open call and selected about 28 teachers and 10 administrators across schools for initial onboarding and training during summer institute, with a full pilot during the next school year and monthly 2030 team meetings to share lessons and practices. Presenters emphasized that AI elements in the platform are embedded tools for analytics and spell‑check and said use of AI remains at the teacher’s discretion.
If the pilot proves successful, district leaders said they would look to scale the approach. Trustees asked about classroom implementation and how the district will support subjective subjects such as art; teachers described portfolios and performance evidence as one approach to demonstrate mastery.
Next steps: summer onboarding training, pilot during the 2026–27 school year, and ongoing reporting to the board on pilot outcomes.
