Mukwonago School District’s communications team reported measurable gains after consolidating building accounts and working with an outside vendor. Communications lead Ben told the board the district gained roughly 1,770 Facebook followers since the partnership began in August — about a 50% increase — and recently recorded more than 600,000 views in a month across social platforms.
Ben said the partnership with the vendor identified in the meeting as Social School for .edu helped the district centralize content and amplify posts that showcase student and staff accomplishments. He also said local media (the Freeman) republished some posts, extending reach beyond the district’s follower base. Ben attributed the results to staff-submitted content and the vendor’s work.
In a separate but related effort, Bray Architects provided branding and logo modernization work at no additional district cost. The board reviewed updated logos, coordinated color codes (print and digital), and iconography to create consistent district-wide usage across letterhead, web and social channels. Board members asked questions about athletics pages and confirmed that high-school marks (including the Indian head logo used for gear) remain part of the approved logo set.
Board member Crosby said he initially opposed the partnership but that the results had convinced him it was a positive investment; other members echoed support while asking staff to continue monitoring costs.
